Beautiful Bahamas Getaway ~ Photography by Britton Images
Sun, Sand & Lots of Fun
January Weekend Getaway
I had such a great time doing a weekend getaway with five girlfriends last weekend flying by my favourite airline West Jet!!. Six Bahama Mammas enjoying the beautiful weather, checking out the beauty of Grand Bahama Island, indulging in the food & activities at the Viva Wyndham Fortuna Resort where the staff was phenomenal. Our favourite drink was by far the Hurricane. I guess we missed the much talked about Wednesday Fish Fries which we’ll have to go back for one day.
Being a wedding photographer I thought the island would be perfect for a destination wedding which seems to be so popular today. Seems like I can’t help thinking about my work even when I’m away.
And even thought the time just flew by we had a great time & much deserved vacation. We also got to miss the weekend snowstorm here coming back just in time for the mild weather again…lucky us. 😀

ESSEX COUPLE READY FOR THE HUNT
Cathy & Chuck
2011
Cathy called the studio one day to ask if I could go out to their property in Essex to take some lifestyle shots of them participating in their hobby of hunting with bow & arrow. I was quite surprised when I saw their equipment as I was expecting an old fashioned bow & arrow. Instead the weapon was huge & very high-tech, as you will see in the shot below. We wandered around their property as they talked about their hunting hobby & how much they enjoyed going out as a couple. The shot below was one of their favourite ones. It was an interesting day & a pleasure to get to meet these two experienced hunters.

Danielle, Miranda, Joelle & Richard
Christmas 2011
I love this photo of Danielle, Richard, Miranda & Joelle! A perfect ‘Lifestyle’ family photo where the whole family is interacting. This family was a ton of fun to work with & I captured lots of urban looking shots while we wandered around this neighbourhood. All of them had a great time! This is the shot they chose for their Christmas card.
OLIVIA & LUCY STAR IN FUSION VIDEO
I’m developing a new concept using fusion video to offer to my clients in the new year. Here’ a little taste of what it will look like complete with original music.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE!!!
WATER……THE BEST WAY TO BEAT THE HEAT IN WINDSOR!
Like kids around a fire hydrant in the hot, humid weather these little feathered friends enjoyed a little sip & dip in our backyard birdbath. The bluejay just wanted a little drink while the fat, little robin was especially delighted in finding relief from the recent area heatwave. Lucky my camera just happened to be handy to capture these shots.

Britton Images Photography Celebrates at Per Bacco Ristorante
Wow, I’m just so happy so many people came out to Per Bacco Ristorante on Ottawa St. on Wednesday, December 9th, to help celebrate three years at the studio on Wyandotte St. in Olde Walkerville & nine years as a professional photographer. Sixty people attended!! Great hors d’ouevres with a little wine & lots of fun. Thanks to everyone who attended!!!
Windsor Portrait Studio with Marissa & Dan in Olde Walkerville
Olde Walkerville was the location for these lifestyle pics of Marissa & Dan by Britton Images Photography. They are celebrating their wedding anniversary of 2006 & wanted something more recent to have as keepsakes. Marissa & Dan are a couple who have also become friends since I did their wedding. It’s so rewarding to make friends with the bridal couples I meet because I get to document their life in a way…celebrating their anniversaries, birth of their children along with other life events. Instead of just passing through their lives I get to become part of their lives. Makes me feel like I have a family that just keeps growing with the years! As always, I feel very blessed and grateful. I am so thrilled at how they turned out & so glad they wanted to wander around outside to get a storytelling feel outside of the studio setting. Congrats to you both Marissa & Dan!! Wishing you a lifetime of happiness.

Windsor Family Photographer Shoots Three Generation Family from Chatham, ON.
I’m so lucky to have the opportunity to shoot so many fun families. Vicki and Bob came all the way from Chatham to participate in a family session with their daughter Danielle & her husband Dave & their precious grandson Alexander. We started with some studio shots then worked our way outside to the Olde Walkerville. Couldn’t have asked for better weather and Alexander was a natural in front of the camera. And what can I say about first-time grammas….they are just oh so proud!
The best part of being a Windsor portrait photographer is that I get to meet so many great people from all over. I’m touched that they chose me and my style of shooting. And when they keep coming back it makes me proud of what I do! Here’s to your wonderful family….see you soon.
Mom Danielle and son Alexander.
I love the blue sky and the way the branches frame Alexander’s face.
Out and about in the Old Walkerville area we found a bit of grafitti, brick walls and of course lots of fall leaves.
Dave, Alexander and Danielle smile for the camera.

More Fall Family Photography with Britton Images – Windsor Family Photographer
This past weekend, I visited Heather and her wonderful family. We decided to go out to take advantage of the vibrant fall colours and the warm sunshine–and take some pictures, of course. The maples around Heather’s house were in peak colour and the kids were full of energy. I had a lot of fun seeing everyone again, and capturing some memories in the process. Check out some of my favourites, including one of me and Heather– we haven’t had a picture together in forever!
Fall Family Photography at Ojibway Park – Windsor Family Photographer
Autumn is one of the best seasons to do family shoots. This was a fall shoot I did with Julie, Paul and their daughters Raena and Quincy at Ojibway Park. They’re the sweetest little girls!
Windsor Family Photographer on Thanksgiving Weekend
Thanksgiving weekend is a great time for catching up– after shooting a wedding on Saturday in Seaforth, ON, I made my way up to Toronto to visit my family. This is my beautiful niece Olivia. The sweetest sound to my ears is her little voice calling “Auntie Amy! Auntie Amy!” as I walk in the door, not to mention that great big bear hug of hers!
These are some shots we got when we went for our Thanksgiving Day walk– enjoy!
Britton Images Travel Photography – Destination Photographer
“One’s destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things.” -H. Miller
Truer words have never been spoken. I’m a real nut for travel and you can be sure that when I’m flying through the sky, over oceans and continents, my camera is my trusty companion. The following images are a collection of some of my favourite images taken abroad– and one in Windsor.. can you tell which one?
Remember to keep me in mind for your destination wedding!
