Engaged & Will Marry in December 2011
“Love consists in this, that two solitudes protect & greet each other.”
RAINER MARIA RILKE
One of the best things about my photography career is meeting so many great new people. Amy & Ian, who are getting married in December wanted to spend some time with me first before the big day to feel comfortable. Well, as soon as I met these two I felt a strong connection so it wasn’t a surprise that I had an absolutely fantastic time. They were so happy – laughing & playing around…so much in love!! We walked casually around the Olde Walkerville area. The spectacular Fall colours of the leaves, old paint-chipped fences & the river backdrop all gave me lots of opportunity to take an abundance of photos. They loved them all ~ that’s the best part – making my couples smile 😀 I’m so excited to document their upcoming W day! Check back for more of this shoot to be posted on the blog.

Geetha & Amit are getting married in a traditional East Indian ceremony on November 26th so wanted a signing book using Toronto as the backdrop. I was thrilled to do their engagement party here in Windsor where Amit’s family resides. East Indian customs for marriage & courtship are so colourful & filled with celebration & meaning!! I’m really looking forward to documenting their wedding day. Getting to know this couple has been a real treat as both are so easy-going & so in love in a quiet & shy kind of way!! See you soon.
I was beyond thrilled when Val & Steve asked me to do their engagement shoot to emulate a fashion shoot……and anyone who knows me knows how much fun I have doing fashion work. Val & Steve were just as excited as I & willing to pose endlessly to get these great shots. I swear they look like professional models! Congratulations Val & Steve on your upcoming nuptials ….you were both fantastic & easy to shoot. I know your wedding day pics will be as sweet as these. Can’t wait for the big day!! See you soon.
After having to postpone Nicole & Tyson’s engagement shoot once and thinking the weather was going to go down hill again we finally lucked out and saw the sun come through. And the light suddenly turned so beautiful for this location filled with awesome graffiti. Nicole & Tyson brought their two young Dobs so we could get a few family shots although they didn’t always want to co-operate. We all had a great time & I did manage to take some keepers. Here’s to you both Nicole & Tyson. Looking forward to sharing your big day in June.
Lots of love,
Monique and Jamie were just in last week for their engagement session. The Olde Walkerville colours were at their peak, the weather was perfect and Monique and Jamie were fantastic. I can’t help but look forward to shooting their wedding in June 2010! This couple is obviously up for some quirky images as evidenced by Jamie jumping on Monique’s back for a few shots. I’ve also made a mental note to include at least a few wedding shots that feature Jamie’s favourite Oakley sunglasses. I can’t wait!
Geetha & Amit had a wonderful traditional Indian Engagement Ceremony in May. The images were anything but traditional though Great couple!! The colors are so vibrant! The family was a lot of fun and the food was great! It doesn’t get much better than that my friends.
So here’s the deal…. Matt was as excited to get their engagement images shot as he is going to the dentist! pretty funny eh… something about the camera….some people just don’t like it! well I tell you, during and after he was much happier and was shocked at how painless the process was…. which means… we’re going to get some great wedding images!! .. now that he knows I won’t make him feel like a mannequin in a monkey suit!! haha… it’s all about having fun 😀
