Alejo + Pilar – Destination Wedding in Puebla Mexico
pilar & alejo
Puebla, Mexico
March 10, 2012
Where do I start!?! The location, Puebla Mexico, was beautiful, the groom, Alejo, was handsome as ever, and the bride, Pilar… well… she was absolutely stunning!!
We couldn’t have asked for nicer weather and a more beautiful location. You could hear the birds in the trees singing away. There were so many great little spots to take images we could have spent a week there!! lol The whole place was like candy for the eyes!
We started off on the grounds of the reception hall, Bodegas del Molino. Alejo got ready at Hotel Hacienda del Molino which is on the same grounds as the hall. A little cobble stone road went behind the reception hall over to the hotel, and boy was it a bumpy ride!
The Church, Nuestra Senora del Carmen, was glorious. Passers by took a peak in to get a glimpse of the ceremony and to see Pilar. After the ceremony the couple was whisked away in an old Ford back to the reception hall for many hrs of celebration! Till about 4.30am to be exact!
The food was quite good, the cilantro soup was my favorite! I love anything with cilantro really. There was lots of dancing and singing (from the band, not me!!) The flowers got stuck in the chandelier 2 or 3 times before they had to move so a lucky someone could catch the bouquet, and they took the garter toss to a whole new level. Before Alejo was to throw the garter, all the single men formed what looked to be a mosh pit (devil ears, tail and all) and tossed him around like a rag doll! I know right! But not to worry, no one got hurt.
Pilar and Alejo make a magnificent couple and are deeply in love with one another! I venture to say from the moment they met…. And you can’t help but smile and share in their joy of life and each other as they are contagious.
I wish you many happy dances, life events and love throughout your many years together.

Beautiful Bahamas Getaway ~ Photography by Britton Images
Sun, Sand & Lots of Fun
January Weekend Getaway
I had such a great time doing a weekend getaway with five girlfriends last weekend flying by my favourite airline West Jet!!. Six Bahama Mammas enjoying the beautiful weather, checking out the beauty of Grand Bahama Island, indulging in the food & activities at the Viva Wyndham Fortuna Resort where the staff was phenomenal. Our favourite drink was by far the Hurricane. I guess we missed the much talked about Wednesday Fish Fries which we’ll have to go back for one day.
Being a wedding photographer I thought the island would be perfect for a destination wedding which seems to be so popular today. Seems like I can’t help thinking about my work even when I’m away.
And even thought the time just flew by we had a great time & much deserved vacation. We also got to miss the weekend snowstorm here coming back just in time for the mild weather again…lucky us. 😀

river deep, mountain high
Love bubbles up as a spring high in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
It streams over pebbles, translucent and showered with golden coins of sunlight falling through emerald leaves.
Little by little it is always widening, deepening, maturing; always following its star.

Karen & Aaron first met in grade school, lost touch when Karen moved away. Serendipity brought them together once more many years down the road when they began working for the same company. Aaron eventually moved to Toronto where he & Karen bought their first home. Could it be their union was in the stars? Somethings just fall into place don’t they.
Their wedding brought lots of friends & family from Windsor to share in their day. This couple is so much fun & so easy going!! They really are such a perfect match. I loved shooting this wedding because, of course, I love to travel & Toronto is my hometown but more importantly, Karen & Aaron have become friends since they first came to my studio last year.
Karen looked so beautiful & radiant alongside her handsome husband. And they thoroughly enjoyed every minute of their celebration as per all their beaming smiles. Congratulations to you both!! I am so honoured you chose me not only as your photographer but also as a friend.

A DESTINATION WEDDING IN JAMAICA FOR REBECCA & PAUL
Rebecca & Paul were married in the park on the beach in Jamaica surrounded by their family & friends on Sunday, July 31. Although it was a small & simple ceremony the energy was romantic & playful. We all had so much fun!!….& I was delighted to have lots of time to shoot at a number of locations. Capturing some of the island colour & atmosphere was an interesting change from the usual locations that are available in Windsor. And even though it was very hot Rebecca & Paul never once looked uncomfortable. Love was certainly in the air!! Congratulations to you both!!! And thank you for allowing me to document your beautiful day.
DESTINATION WEDDING FOR BETSY & KEVIN
Next to my love for photography, I love travel so when Kevin contacted me to shoot his wedding in England, I was absolutely thrilled. He met the love of his life Betsy & had no second thoughts at leaving Canada to start a new life in England. They picked a beautiful spot outside London called the Kavali Royal Society International Center in Milton Keynes…..an absolutely breathtaking spot & a big change from what we have here in Windsor. These two were so much fun & so in love ….I truly enjoyed their company, the accommodation & the party. I’m so happy that you found each other & hope you share many, many years together. Love you both!!
PELEE ISLAND GETAWAY WEDDING FOR DAWN & PAUL
On July 31 Dawn & Paul were married on the shores of Pelee Island in a small, intimate ceremony that included their parents & beloved beagle Ferguson by their side. Dawn & Paul, who have started their own winery in Ohio, love the simplicity of Pelee Island. The weekend turned out to be beautiful. Lots of diffused light reflected from the water lending a soft & airy feel to the pics…..a little retro. Later, the party shared a yummy buffet at the Anchor & Wheel & everyone treated me like family. I just loved sharing & documenting their day. Congratulations on your very special day Dawn & Paul!!! 😉

Windsor Wedding Photographer Amy Britton documents Jackie and Antoine in Seaforth, Ontario
Jackie and Antoine were married this fall, just in time for the changing of the leaves. The ceremony took place in Seaforth, Ontario but afterward, we traveled to nearby Stratford to take pictures. The weather was beautiful, if not a little windy, and the bride and groom couldn’t have been more fun– special thanks to Antoine for enduring some of my teasing. Jackie looked absolutely stunning, which I’m sure you can see from the images. Having also shot her cousin’s wedding a few years ago, I wasn’t surprised when the traditional “cake hat” was dusted off for a few dances– in fact, I had been looking forward to it all day! Just like last time, friends and family were doing the “cake dance” well into the night!
I felt honoured for the privilege of sharing in Jackie and Antoine’s special day. Thank you, and congratulations to the both of you!
Charlotte & Alex’s Wedding at Toronto’s The Old Mill– September 11, 2009 – Toronto Wedding Photographer
The Old Mill, located in Toronto, proved to be nothing short of a wedding photographer’s dream–multiple garden locations, stone staircases, serene waterfalls, a romantic terrace and of course, the rustic interior.
Charlotte and Alex had a lovely evening wedding in the chapel and celebrated late into the night, both on the dance floor and out on the terrace, under the stars. Congratulations, you two!
