Over $600 Raised at Alyvia’s Fundraiser
to all who attended the fundraiser for Alyvia Hope at Britton Images Photography Studio
Last Saturday Santa Claus came to our studio to pose with children to raise funds for little cutie Alyvia Hope. Along with all the parents & kids who attended on her behalf Alyvia & her parents were also present. It was such a happy occasion!! And people were so generous….not only were people bringing their kids in for portraits but some were popping in just to donate a few dollars to Alyvia’s cause. Over $600 was raised that day which will be deposited into a trust account for her to be used when necessary. Others are bringing in donations when they pick up their orders. Many thanks to all who came for a portrait & to Santa & Mrs. Claus for their time, Vito’s Pizza in Olde Walkerville for a donation of a $25 gift card to help raise funds. Then there was beautiful mother-to-be Rachel Labbé who decorated the tree to prepare for Santa’s visit, Shannon Gilbert from Flowers by Design in Olde Walkerville who lent us a stunning wreath for a background to Old St. Nick & to CTV for help getting the word out. Pictures of all the kids & Alyvia will be posted tomorrow. . And all this came together in 2 days…I wasn’t even going to put up a tree this year. I am still overwhelmed with the generosity of everyone especially right before Christmas.
For anyone who has been moved by the story of this little girl & would like to contribute to the fund you can visit any RBC Bank & make a donation there. Just say it is a tragedy trust fund for Alyvia Hope in the name of her mother Ashley Taylor. As Tiny Tim said “God Bless Us Everyone“
Alyvia & Mrs. Claus
Mrs. Claus came with Santa for Alyvia’s fundraiser at Britton Images Photography Studio in Olde Walkerville. Lots of boys & girls had their photo taken with the donations going to help fund the needed operation to remove the benign growth from her now. Below is a shot of little Alyvia with Mrs. Claus.
Fundraiser for Little Alyvia ~ Portrait with Santa
all her parents want for Christmas is for her to be able to breathe normally!!
I watched a heart wrenching story on CTV News last night about a little 5 month old Chatham girl named Alyvia who finds it increasingly harder to breathe because of a golf sized benign growth on her nose. She needs an operation before the New Year so $15000 needs to be raised on her behalf. I would like to invite parents to bring in their kids for a portrait with Santa. All proceeds will go to this family. And because my studio is in Olde Walkerville you can wander the stores in the area, do some Christmas shopping or catch a bite to eat at any one of the cafes & restaurants.
Let’s Come Together for Alyvia!!

Cara, Tim & Family
Since photographing Cara & Tim’s wedding a few years back they have moved to Toronto & had two beautiful kids. Just recently, while visiting family in Windsor, they made an appointment to have a location “family lifestyle” shoot. It’s so heartwarming to have people who truly value the work you do to remain ongoing clients even when they move away! Cara & Tim are one of the couples who wedding shots appear on the brick facade at the front of my studio. They definitely show how much fun they had on their day. And below their daughter enjoys some fall flowers in an Olde Walkerville area garden.
A Holiday Smile Producer
I so loved this children’s photo of Ruby…..she looks like a professional on a model shoot! Children are so much fun to photograph 😀 I just couldn’t stop laughing though when I got this one, as will the lucky recipients of this card. She’s just so cute!! I wonder what she’ll do when she gets a year older – will she be funny like this or will she get a little shy? Only time will tell.
Seasons Greetings from
emilia, brennen, mikaila
This Children’s photo used to design a holiday card from the studio reminded me of just how fast time flies by. Every year I create captures for this family & still have a hard time with how fast they’ve grown. Emilia, Brennen & Mikaila are always so much fun to shoot. When they came to the studio I took them to this nice bright red brick wall where we goofed around. This one shot was the one that was chosen for their card & I think this backdrop was perfect for a Christmas theme….also goes great with Santa’s red suit!! So you guys better watch out…better not cry!! ho ho ho
The children’ portrait for Ashlynn is soo cute! She was such a ham….lovin every minute of her photo session. In this particular pose she looks like she’s contemplating something really good….like maybe an ice-cream cone….perhaps strawberry because she likes pink. Again, it was such a hoot to photograph this little cutie. Hope to see her again as she grows up. I really do love my job!!
Children’s portrait photography can sometimes be a challenge but I’ve been very lucky with most of the kids who have come through the studio. Simone & Emet were just great to photograph! Their affection for each other was quite evident & their personalities were so calm & easy going, even though Emet has a bit of the “I could be mischevious ya know” look…..and check out those big brown eyes. It’ll be a lot of fun capturing these two as they grow up. I’ll look forward to photographing Simone & Emet again.
I’m developing a new concept using fusion video to offer to my clients in the new year. Here’ a little taste of what it will look like complete with original music.
A very special & ginormous THANK YOU to Michael Bunn for his musical talent in putting this together!!!! You can check him out at www.creative-harmony.de
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE!!!
It’s been 2 years since Grace & her mom came in for photos. Boy has she grown…. seems like a foot at least, but the same natural in front of the camera. Her family joined her for some photos to give as presents for Christmas. Hope to see you again & maybe do some shots to show off your dance moves!!
It was so much fun shooting these two little cuties……who kept me on my toes. Mason & Riley were full of playful energy. I think you can see their mischievous sides in their expressions. They certainly are close & love their mom, Dayna to bits! Look out Dayna….you’ll be quite busy for awhile. I look forward to watching them grow up through the years.
Julie & Paul have been coming with the girls for family photos since I first opened the studio. The girls are so much fun to work with & have so much personality!! They love my work & I feel so appreciated. Julie, Paul & the girls…you are the best & a big reason why I love what I do…….I get to meet wonderful people all the time.
I created a beautiful black & white album for Trinytee a while back & now the whole family including their new addition, Paul Jr. came to see me for family photos. Trinytee absolutely adores her little brother, fussing over him all the time. And what a happy boy he is!!! We all had a great time & the kids were terrific!! See ya soon.
Here’s another beautiful little baby girl, Alexandria. She is the sister of Valentina, whose pics I posted at Christmas. They really do look like sisters and both are so mellow in their personalities. I love the little outfits her mom brings for them to wear. The green polka dots look spectacular on Alexandria! Can’ t wait to photograph both of them together, all done up in their Sunday best. See you at 6 months.
William is the first baby of Shanna & Chris, a couple whose wedding I photographed last year. Even though he wanted to sleep at first, I finally got a number of great shots. Here he is when I first started and then after he woke up. What a beautiful boy and congratulations to you both! Hope to see you again when you come back to Windsor for a visit.
I love shooting kids & as you will see Keegan was a lot of fun to work with. He loved dressing up & being a big ham. Hey Keegan….here’s lookin at ya!
What an angel….Pretty in pink!!
Brittany has modelled for me for a few years now so I was just tickled to be asked to do a sitting with Baby Stella, her new arrival of a couple of months. Even though she wanted to sleep most of the time I did get some cute shots. Welcome to this new & exciting world Baby Stella & congratulations to you Brittany & your family!!
Amy loves ya!
Little Olivia came to the Britton Images Studio with her brother & played shy here. I took some amazing pictures that will be turned into a beautiful wall canvas & album. Olivia, who recently turned one is quite a bright & busy little girl. Here I grabbed a couple of shots while she was busy being her curious little self in her ballerina tutu & her bear bum!
This is the second time I’ve shot little Gracie. She is the most mellow, happy girl and a perfect model. Here she’s all dressed up for Christmas & some other outfits to say how excited she is to be moving to New York. Her Dad got a job with a NY law firm & she can’t wait to take a bite of the Big Apple. Good luck to the whole family on your good fortune!!
Amy loves ya!
Debbie and her two adult kids, their spouses and a first-born grandson join up for some light hearted fun during this casual holiday shoot. Their main intentions were to get images for this year’s Christmas cards. It’s not hard to figure out that Charlette & Brayden want Dylan to be a firefighter just like his dad, but Dylan was a wee bit too tired to agree or diasgree.
Merry Christmas Everyone!
Twins Niko and Melina with sister Alessia were busy little bees for the hour shoot and certainly kept me on my toes…there was not a boring moment & I didn’t allow myself to lose focus for a minute fearing I would miss the perfect shot. As it turned out, you can see their little personalities when you look at the pics. There’s the reserved little princess, Alissia and the two high-energy superstars Niko and Melina. Anyhoo, I look forward to shooting them again & again through the years.
So here they are…..Alissia, Niko & Melina!…as photographed by me, Amy.
I’m so lucky to have the opportunity to shoot so many fun families. Vicki and Bob came all the way from Chatham to participate in a family session with their daughter Danielle & her husband Dave & their precious grandson Alexander. We started with some studio shots then worked our way outside to the Olde Walkerville. Couldn’t have asked for better weather and Alexander was a natural in front of the camera. And what can I say about first-time grammas….they are just oh so proud!
The best part of being a Windsor portrait photographer is that I get to meet so many great people from all over. I’m touched that they chose me and my style of shooting. And when they keep coming back it makes me proud of what I do! Here’s to your wonderful family….see you soon.
Mom Danielle and son Alexander.
I love the blue sky and the way the branches frame Alexander’s face.
Out and about in the Old Walkerville area we found a bit of grafitti, brick walls and of course lots of fall leaves.
Dave, Alexander and Danielle smile for the camera.
Proud grandparents Vicki & Bob along with Alexander, Danielle & Dave.
Little Isabella, Mommy Steph and good friend Booker
