On Sunday morning just after 9am I got the call I have been dreading about my wonderful, beautiful friend Sasha Fulop. She had passed away after a courageous fight with cancer. Even though I lost track of the times I cried while she was hospitalized & knew it would come to pass at some point, tears once again overcame me as I tried to sort through all the emotions I was feeling. Even though you think you have prepared yourself for the inevitable the whole universe comes crashing down on you & your heart rips to pieces. Sasha, who had become one of my my best friends since I shot her wedding was gone & I just couldn’t process it. She was 33 & absolutely loved life. I never heard her complain about her misfortune & she fought the fight like a tenacious pit bull, never believing she wouldn’t make it. She loved to dance, eat sushi, dress fashionably, play Dominos, enjoy good wine/ good food & anything to make you laugh. She was beautiful in both mind & spirit & I will always love her & never forget her. The first photo is the one I love the most & the rest are from the photo shoot I posted earlier on my blog.
Sasha was our team captain for “Fight Like A Girl” entered in the the Dragon Boat Races the last two years.
RIP till we meet again!
Julie & Paul have been coming with the girls for family photos since I first opened the studio. The girls are so much fun to work with & have so much personality!! They love my work & I feel so appreciated. Julie, Paul & the girls…you are the best & a big reason why I love what I do…….I get to meet wonderful people all the time.
I created a beautiful black & white album for Trinytee a while back & now the whole family including their new addition, Paul Jr. came to see me for family photos. Trinytee absolutely adores her little brother, fussing over him all the time. And what a happy boy he is!!! We all had a great time & the kids were terrific!! See ya soon.
Geetha & Amit are getting married in a traditional East Indian ceremony on November 26th so wanted a signing book using Toronto as the backdrop. I was thrilled to do their engagement party here in Windsor where Amit’s family resides. East Indian customs for marriage & courtship are so colourful & filled with celebration & meaning!! I’m really looking forward to documenting their wedding day. Getting to know this couple has been a real treat as both are so easy-going & so in love in a quiet & shy kind of way!! See you soon.
Sweethearts Christina & Steve were an absolute joy to shoot at Ojibway Nature Center on their October 16th wedding day. Their easy going style fit in perfectly with such natural surroundings. Even though the trees weren’t yet clothed with spectacular colour we managed to get some really cool shots. Steve often carried Christina’s bouquet around, which was really cute. And Christina was absolutely stunning!!! They exchanged their signature “fish-kiss” many times which kept me in stitches. There wasn’t too much this fun-loving couple wasn’t up to for a romantic shot. I especially loved the ‘Knight in Shining Armour’ one with Steve down on one knee…….gotta love it when a groom is so open!! Christina & Steve….thank you for allowing me to share & document your day!!….& those sweet treats a couple of days later were absolutely fantastic. Congratulations & much love to you both.

University sweethearts Jenna & Jeff shared many classes together & fell in love among the test tubes of the science lab so it was a given that we take some shots in that lab. These two are so cute together! And the rain didn’t dampen their spirits one bit…..kind of added a moody touch to to the outdoor shots. Anyway, it was so much fun sharing your day & the story goes that fortune awaits the wedding couple whose day is filled with rain. 😉 Lucky for you both!!

I love shooting Marissa with her soft features & beautiful skin….looking even more beautiful during her pregnancy. Here she’s about 2 weeks from delivery & very excited about the new arrival, a new girl named Sophie, who was born with a full head of dark hair & is very delicate & petite, just like a pixie. Congrats to you both on your wonderful addition!! Much love to you all;)
